This site is dedicated to the abolition of the barbaric practices of the faux fur industry! If we all work together, we can outlaw the sale of faux fur and put an end to its use once and for all!!

JUST SAY NO!!! TO FAUX!

Sure its pretty, and soft, and fluffy. But its still a dead carcass!
Do you really think that dead flesh is warm?

What is faux fur?

The wild faux is a small mammal indigenous to the entire United States. Its soft fur makes it a desireable possession for greedy people who want to wear expensive dead animal skin. Faux are cute, friendly and have neat little human-like hands and faces that remind us that their species is not too distant from ours. They live in the brush and move quite quickly unless it is raining, for when it rains, the wild faux must burrow deeply underground. If you ever encounter a faux in the wild, remember that no matter what, never EVER get it wet.

History:

The barbaric rituals of Faux fur trapping began in the early eighteen-hundreds when the greedy white man got tired of shooting buffalo, Indians, and British soldiers. "Surely there must be something else that we can deliver a cruel and horribly painful death" they thought.

In that time period, the country was thriving with wild fauxs. They lived in harmony with nature throughout our glorious country and worked the land like little mammal farmers, digging their burrows here and there.

And then one day, an evil white man decided that he would like to feel the dead flesh of a wild faux upon his own flesh, and the brutality of the faux fur industry was born.

How they are murdered:

This is a typical faux trap. Notice the large ear-like extent ions on either side of the trap. These "ears" are used to lure in the unsuspecting little fauxs with a sense of motherhood.

You see, wild fauxs spend the first nine months of their life inside of the mothers ear. This is called an earsupial, meaning the children are sheltered within the ear. This allows the babies to grow until they are old enough to flee from natural predators such as the coyote.

Once the faux is lured into the trap and attempts to get between the ears, it is snapped down upon by cold steel jaws! Notice the teeth that are used to dig into the faux and hold them still until the evil fur trapper arrives with his dogs. Do you think that sounds fun? Being trapped in a steel jaw? Huh? well, do ya??!! I didn't think so!

How the industry continues:

One may wonder how such an uncivilized practice has survived though the centuries to be continued on today. We have found out that representatives of the fur industry are visiting our children in our VERY OWN SCHOOLS.

But how do they convince the children? By dressing up as the DEVIL and scaring the wits out of the frightened little ones. The photo to the above was smuggled at great risk from a Missouri classroom and clearly displays the arrogance of the fur trader.

"Buy faux fur or BURN IN HELL!!!" she seems to scream at the classroom.

The future of the faux fur trade:

It is time that we take a stand!

Its no secret that the faux fur industry is more popular than ever. If you look at the greedy fur peddlers and their horrible wares, you can easily see a steep increase of up to 500% of faux pelts in the past decade alone. In the 1970's it was common to see all kinds of pelts such as rabbit, coyote, and beaver. But now it is increasingly harder to find anything aside from faux pelts! Has America gone mad, you ask? Maybe so my friend, maybe so.....

Support your local animal support chapter to help ban the spread of this heinous industry of faux fur trading.

Click here and let PETA know that you do not support the expansion of faux fur and think that tits use should be banned in the United States of America!
